DBC Homes was hired to help build a log cabin in Kokadjo, ME. For those unfamiliar with Kokadjo it is about 18 miles north of Greenville. This project was a joint effort by DBC Homes and Watts Holdings of Concord, NH. We were brought on after the structure was built and ready for siding. In one week DBC Homes had 90% of it sided with only three people working. The end result was that DBC Homes was hired again to complete the project after the drywall had been installed. A closing date of June 30, 2005 had been set and with in three weeks the house would have to be taken from drywall to finish. DBC Homes had many ideas with how to finish the house and how to give it the rustic look of a Maine cabin. These ideas included wide pine flooring, natural knotty pine trim, and soft tone lighting and hardware. Although physical work did not begin until June, Dickie Garnett had been working with the owners for months planning and talking about different ideas; doing what a General Contractor should do.
