Dickie Garnett was raised in the mid-west. When he was 15 years old, he started working during school vacations with a custom builder as a laborer on a framing crew. As he grew up, he moved from framing crews to finish crews. He learned the value of a hard day's work and of the joy that a homeowner feels when a project is done right. In addition, Dickie learned about all the facets of the trade and the business of custom home building. Dickie earned a BFA with honors from Boston University, where he worked in a cabinet style fabrication shop which taught him about consistent craftsmanship and quality. When he graduated in 2004, he started DBC Homes. As a life-long summer resident of North Hampton, New Hampshire, it seemed the right place to start-he has been busy building, renovating and maintaining homes along the seacoast ever since.
